Lightsong Outdoor School
Employment Opportunities
We are currently in search of a part time cultural language teacher for the 2025-2026 school year
About the Position
At Lightsong, full time means you will work with us Monday- Thursday 8-2:45, join us for a nourishing study and planning meeting on Sunday mornings, and participate in assemblies, community potlucks, plays, and festival life, and possible overnight camping trips once a year.
Part time can mean anything from 4 hours each week to anything we agree upon based on your availability and commitment level.

Cultural language teacher means you will bring a lesson for each blended cohort at least twice each week, and might perhaps teach other classes as well, depending on your willingness, desire and energy for challenge.

Our salary for teachers is based on a conversation through a three-fold lens, during which each teacher asks for what they need. If you need health care insurance, we can have a conversation about additional pay to off-set those costs.
Please email your letter of interest and resume to lightsongoutdoorschool@gmail.com and we will schedule a phone conversation.
At Lightsong, we are striving to work out of Anthroposophy and we value each other as individuals with divine gifts to offer each other and the world. We wish that each of us can meet our own karma and hold in our hearts the responsibility for supporting others in their own working of their karma. In other words:
“The healthy social life is found
When, in the mirror of each human soul,
The whole community fonds its reflection
And when, in the community, the virtue of each one is living.”
Our Vision for our School Community
Our vision of our school community is: the children we work and learn with, their parents, the other teachers, no matter how part time, the parent and grandparent volunteers, the land on which we work, the plants around us, and the animals in our care. We strive to acknowledge the being-ness of everything and everyone, and to hold human working together as paramount in our striving.
We hold dear the indications given by Rudolf Steiner and continue to study and wrestle with deepening our understanding of human development and the evolution of humanity through his lens. We strengthen this by working consciously with the Curative Education lectures.
