Lightsong Waldorf Outdoor School
Lightsong Second Grade Curriculum Overview
The mood of the second-grade year is a deepening of relationships and cultivating reverence for what is good. It is also a year of gently witnessing adversity in the stories of holy people from around the world and their striving for what is good even in the face of adversity. We also look at and live into the polarities of differing points of view and desires through the telling of myriad multicultural fables. Our written work is enhanced with longer writings and the integration of cursive writing. We begin memorizing times tables from 1-12 through rhythmic movement, song and recitation.
